Dr Emilia Duarte Williamson is based at Kings College Hospital in London and holds private clinics at Skin 55 in Harley street. Dr Williamson is a very experienced consultant with specialist interests in Paediatric Dermatology, Medical dermatology and skin cancer, severe psoriasis, eczema and other inflammatory skin conditions. She also runs the Biologics clinics in Kings College Hospital, seeing many patients with excellent results. Dr Williamson graduated from medical school in her home country, Colombia in South America in 1987. She worked as a Hospital Doctor in General Medicine, Paediatrics and Accident and Emergency for 8 years before entering the Dermatology training programme. She trained as a specialist in Dermatology in Bogota – Colombia from 1996 and worked as a Dermatology consultant for 4 and a half years before moving to the UK, where she currently practices. Dr Williamson has worked in the UK since 2005 year when she got her full GMC registration after passing the English and Medical exams (IELTS and PLABS). She has worked in different hospitals as a locum consultant and was appointed to a substantive position as Consultant in Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey in January 2008. She has been working with the British association of Dermatologists in the therapeutic and guidelines committee since December 2011. She is also interested in teaching GP colleagues, registrars and other junior doctors, not only bettering her own education but teaching the next generation of doctors.
